The hit gay play Afterglow has been extended by two weeks.

The S Asher Gelman-show had a successful off-Broadway run before coming to London’s Southwark Playhouse for a limited run earlier this year and back in October, the show opened up for a limited run at Waterloo East Theatre.

With the cast - which includes Benjamin Aluwihare, Adi Chugh and Peter McPherson, with Kane Surry as understudy for all three roles - nominated for Best Ensemble and a Best Director nomination in the Off West End Awards, the show will now extend its stay at the theatre until December 8.

Produced by Adam Roebuck, Aaron Quintana and Justin Coffman, the show follows Josh and Alex, a married couple in an open relationship, who invited young Darius to share their bed for one night.

However, as a new intimate connection begins to form, all three men must face with each other’s notions of love, intimacy and commitment.

Afterglow will celebrate 100 London performances on Tuesday 12 November.
